Drawing Salve

Drawing salve is formulated with ingredients, such as activated charcoal and bentonite clay, which are used to help pull out toxins from within the skin that may accrue from insect and tick bites, splinters, and rashes from environmental causes, such as poison ivy. Comfrey and plantain leaf are sought for their wound healing properties, complimenting the process of soothing a dermal irritation. We apply a thin layer of the salve directly to the affected area as needed, covered with a Band-Aid.

Because this formula contains Activated charcoal and Bentonite clay, it may temporarily leave a gray or dark residue on the skin and could stain light-colored fabrics if applied heavily or before fully drying. Using a bandage or wearing darker clothing during application may help prevent staining.
